"A cheap holiday in other peoples misery."

Oh man, it may be true. Every nasty thing about the Democrats I learned from the Sex Pistols and didn't even know it.

The 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall was just a few months ago on November 9th, 2009.



The socialist in East Germany were so proud of their socialist system they didn't want anyone from the outside trying to get a piece of the pie, that's what the  barbed wire was for. Everyone on the "outside" was chomping at the bit to get some of those human rights and entitlements , free education, free health care, low rent subsidized housing ,  free speech and tasty foods.  Now this was not just East Germany, this was officially known as the German Democratic Republic. A paradise only dreamed of, where it was most IMPORTANT that the the people be provided for, that is, controlled. I suppose the most wicked word imaginable in this paradise was the word "liberty". An over rated concept where men fools themselves about personal freedom only to be OWNED AND EXPLOITED BY THE MAN (I am trying not to laugh). Yes, there were those enlightened souls who could not be fooled by the greed and selfishness of EVIL AND VILE CAPITALISM, that they would gladly give their lives climbing the wall with the risk of being slashed and cut in to the warm embrace of  the guards of that utopia. Grin.

Actually. No. I must be talking about other peoples misery. The misery of government controlled life. 

Because you know, if people are just left to their own devices, than other people will suffer, It's just not a good idea, to let those people who may be prosperous, just because they were fortunate in some way, be allowed to enjoy a better life while OTHER PEOPLE SUFFER.  There can be only one solution.  The government must be the iron fist that prevents this disgrace. Yes, the government can LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD (ok, I'm laughing again), the government can ensure that wealth is FAIRLY distributed to those less fortunate.  Why should the fortunate  people just get to live free and happy. After all. in some cases they didn't even work for their status and it was inherited from BLOOD MONEY stolen off the backs of the poor disenfranchised (or fill in the blank with your favorite group of exploited peoples).  Yes, this IS right minded thinking! We might be able to use this and maybe some day get our own EASTERN BLOCK paradise. These ARE really good ideas.

Ok. This is funny because the criticism toward those of us who believe in American Freedom (the wicked kind) is how unfair it all is.  It's no more unfair than life itself.  People all over the world are born in to good and bad fortunes. Those who want to control life strive to replace the random fortunes of men with predictability that only comes with power and control. So, the bleeding heart feels better that power is held with the collective government rather than spread out randomly to the privileged, ie. those more fortunate.  In reality though, the bleeding heart withers away, because what you are left with is a faceless oppressive government that gorges itself on its own power.  Freedom is crushed as is the human spirit.  Welcome to East Berlin.

 I don't want a holiday in the sun either.
