Well this is offically my first blog post on Punk Arcade and believe it or not.. its not about cool games . I cold not resist the templation to make it about the most common theme on the internet... webmaster applications. So without further delay, if you are thinking about playing around with your own website on the internet and creating your own web pages you must consider using the simple and open source WYSISWYG HMTL editor known as Kompozer. Using this editor is as easy as drawing pictures on a page. You can easily import graphics, draw tables, create bullet lists and add links to your hearts content . The design is simple and intuitvive.  You will appreciate this if you have ever tried to use a more advanced editor such as Dreamworks. So check it out at http://kompozer.sourceforge.net/ .

Lastly, and maybe not so simple. You will need a graphics editor to create and tweak your images. Gimp is one of the most notable open source applications on the internet. This graphics editor sports features that rival the well known Photoshop. And if you have ever used Photoshop and found the inteface to your liking than you must try GimpShop. Gimpshop gives the Gimp a facelift giving the user the same look and feel as Photoshop. Again, this application is open source, so you are free to use it .. free of charge.
